Some Keenan Firsts!

Keenan caught us by surprise by taking his first two steps on his own today! We were so lucky that Colin and I both got to witness this first.
Yesterday, he put a toy in his mouth for the first time. This may not sound like such a big deal, but because he has had such a struggle with reflux and aspirating, the only thing that he ever puts in his mouth is his bib or his fingers. This first happened while he was in feeding therapy, leaving the therapist and I nearly jumping for joy. On that same topic, today he managed to get down 10 ounces of soft food (spread over three meals) and also took some tentative sips from the sippy cup.

He has become an active participant in the game of 'So Big' and loves waving at us now. He is making attempts to imitate the sounds we make and loves blowing raspberries. It is so wonderful to watch him change by leaps and bounds every day. It's as though some light inside him has turned on and he can't wait to try new things.
