It's Official, we are Sophia's Mom and Dad!

Hi everyone,

We would like to thank everyone for your kind comments and e-mails. They mean so much to us and we can't believe how many people have been following our journey. Friends, family and strangers alike have showered us with good wishes and it just adds to how special this journey has been.

As of 2 hours ago, the People's Republic of China has bestowed on us the greatest gift imaginable, Sophia Mingci. The photos were taken, documents were signed, the questions were asked and answered and we took our oath that we would never abandon, abuse or neglect our little girl. We are extraordinarily grateful and we feel very privileged to have her in our life.

She was quieter today and seemed to be running a slight fever, so naturally (being first time parents) we promptly dragged her to the hotel doctor. She may be catching a cold and is likely cutting some new teeth.

We had a chance to ask a few families permission to post their photos and we will post those. We will post more when we see everyone at dinner tonight and have the opportunity to check with them.

Congratulations to all the families who just became official. To all the families who are waiting, just remember one thing....it is absolutely worth the wait.
