Sophia meets more of her family

OK, OK, OK, I will admit that I have been verrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyy lax in my blog posting since our return from China. I am blaming our tardiness on the following things: jet lag, jet lag, jet lag, full memory cards (4), and very little energy to post, due to......you guessed it, JET LAG!

Our apologies to those who have been awaiting more photos of Sophia. I just feel lucky to get up, change the baby, feed the baby, take a run, change the baby, feed the baby, shower, try to get said baby down for nap, chane the baby, feed the baby, unpack, feed the baby, change the baby, wash clothes, get baby down for nap, change the baby, feed the baby, eat, bathe the baby, pay bills, get the baby to bed, get us to bed.....you get the idea.

All joking aside, we are not complaining, we love our new addition to our family and love our new lifestyle but it still take some time to adjust to all the changes (for her and for us). Nevertheless, we wouldn't want it any other way and we both feel very grateful for Sophia.

Sophia and her Uncle Mike

Last night Sophia got to meet her Uncle Mike, Aunt Joanie and cousins Becky and Mike! She was a little sleepy when they first came over but she got her second wind and whoa did she turn on the charm. We were all out on the deck (grouped in a circle) and Sophia was in her highchair. After she was done dining, she started to look around from person to person and her face lit up. She would look at each individual and flash them a huge smile. I am totally throwing my own spin into this, but I swear it looked like she was thinking "wow, look at all these people, and they all are here to see me!"

The family came bearing wonderful presents. A stuffed horse that looks like Mambo, a touch and feel book and a wonderful set of stacking rings, that just happen to be similar to Janey's toy that Sophia coveted while we were in China.

We also received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from her Aunt Mimi. We hope we will manage a full reunion before the end of the summer.

Sophia met Mambo yesterday and seemed rather unphased by this mammoth 1,400 pound animal that loomed over her. She agreed to pet him and looked rather mystified but certainly not afraid.

Sophia gets ready for the beach. She looks great in these sunglasses, but just like hats, she has no real interest in keeping them on.....

Sophia and her beach ball. I am absolutely certain the ball is bigger than she is....

Sophia insists on have her formula hot, and I do mean 'hot', the end result is seen here...perhaps she has heard of Billy Idol?
