The kids love horses, they got the opportunity to ride several times and they radiated happiness.

Turtle Beach

Sophia was a very sleepy girl when we visited the turtles, on the other hand, Keenan was wide awake and happily munching on a snack.  This did not go unnoticed by the local turtles.

The Arizona Memorial

Our visit to Pearl Harbor was humbling.  The kids did exceptionally well and this is a must see for any Oahu visitor.

Beach Time

We got to spend a fair amount of time on the beach.  Sophia and Keenan loved it, but not quite as much as Colin as he designed and constructed some elaborate castle/beach buggie ramps, for the kids, of course :)

Bonding Moments

Our new portable DVD player worked it's magic on the very long journey there and back. These animal inspired earphones were a fantastic addition because they are designed for kids and have volume controls to protect their hearing.

My Mom joined us on our Hawaii and got to spend a lot of quality time with the kids. It also gave her a chance to check out Oahu and see where she gets to spend time during the cold Michigan winter months.

Hawaii Test Run

After all that snow, a visit to Hawaii was a very attractive idea.  The reality was even better, it was a wonderful opportunity to soak in the sun and feel some warmth.  Oh yeah, and we also had a chance to check out where we hope to be living in six months.
