Wetsuits needed

It may be Hawaii, but the pool feels like thousands of ice cubes were added. The place we are renting was advertised as having a heated pool but I found out a week before we left Seattle that it wasn't. Fortunately, I had enough time to find two of the smallest wetsuits in the world (size 1 and 2 respectively) and that has helped. I wish I would have thought to get one for myself. Brrrr......

Family reunions

Hawaii seems to be a gathering place for our family. This year, Nana, Aunt Betsy and Uncle John joined us in Kauai. Our friends Adam and Michelle visited the following week. Miss Lindsay (the kids' Michigan babysitter who has become a part of our family) visits next week and Grandma will be joining us later in March.

Kauai Time

Getting to spend some extended time in Hawaii has been pretty great (absent small Tsunamis and Giant Centipedes-I'll save that commentary for a later post). But without a doubt, spending time with family has been the best part. The beautiful scenery makes it all the better.
